Two Longhorn Steakhouse employees, one in Columbus and another in Beavercreek, Ohio, have been honored for their exceptional grilling skills, each having grilled over one million steaks throughout their careers.
Longhorn Steakhouse recognizes and rewards employees who demonstrate exceptional skill and dedication. Roberto “Birdie” Hernandez, a Longhorn Steakhouse employee in Columbus, Ohio, and Eric Morgan, a Dayton-area resident, have been recognized as Grill Master Legends for grilling over 1,000,000 steaks. This title is reserved for chefs who reach the one million mark, making them part of an elite group of only 35 others across the country.
Hernandez has been with Longhorn for two decades and is known for his positive attitude and strong work ethic. Morgan is known for his leadership, heart and craftsmanship. Both were honored at special events at their respective restaurants, receiving a special chef’s coat and monetary awards as recognition for their achievements.
Longhorn Steakhouse prides itself on perfectly grilled steaks and ensures that each restaurant has a team of Grill Masters trained in the art of grilling fresh, never-frozen steak. These masters season the steaks with proprietary spice blends and grill them to each guest’s preferred temperature.
