The event is designed to give students a real look at what Soldiers do, promoting the Army's core values and offering insights into military life.
During the event, students rotated through physically demanding obstacles and challenges that tested not only their physical strength but also their ability to work together and communicate effectively. The career expo provided additional exposure to military and civilian career opportunities, with soldiers demonstrating equipment and discussing career paths and education benefits.
KISD executive director for athletics Latisha Williams emphasized the connection between athletics and the real world, noting that the discipline and commitment required in sports align with the values demonstrated in the military.
