Several power outages impacted residents in Baton Rouge and New Orleans in June 2025. Entergy is working to resolve the issues.
On Tuesday, Entergy New Orleans initiated a planned seven-hour outage for specific customers to facilitate essential equipment upgrades. Affected customers were notified in advance through mail and their preferred contact methods. Entergy typically updates outage locations in real-time on its outage map.
In Baton Rouge, widespread outages impacted over 4,500 customers. The majority of the outages were concentrated in the Arlington area. High winds and thunderstorms exacerbated the situation, causing additional disruptions across the region. Residents are encouraged to monitor Entergy's outage map for the latest updates.
Smaller outages were also scattered throughout the city near Bluebonnet Boulevard, Gardere, and Jefferson Highway. DEMCO Energy reported approximately 330 customers were still affected.
