On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Dodge County deputies responded to a call on the 3400 block of Eastman Dublin Highway in Eastman, Georgia. Upon entering the home, they discovered the body of Jonathan Lee Groves, 48, who had been shot.
Investigators later located Rex Willis Giddens, 60, in a wooded area near the residence. Giddens had sustained what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
