A team at Constructor University conducted a controlled experiment, exposing human skin cells (keratinocytes and fibroblasts) to 5G electromagnetic fields. Whole-genome RNA sequencing and DNA methylation arrays were used to measure changes in genetic activity and gene expression. The study included blinded exposure and temperature monitoring, along with control groups exposed to UV light and sham-exposure.
The results indicated no significant changes in gene expression or methylation patterns in the cells exposed to 5G. Only the cells exposed to UV light experienced predictable changes.
