Riverside County Investigates Weekend Homicides in Lake Elsinore and Wildomar

On Friday, September 14, 2025, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Riverside County Sheriff's Department deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of Orange Street in Wildomar following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Jesus Monge, 64, and a 56-year-old woman, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Monge was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Investigators identified David Jimenez, 33, as the suspect. He was apprehended at the scene and booked into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. Formal charges are pending review by the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.

Two days later, on Sunday, September 16, 2025, at around 7:40 p.m., deputies were called to the 28000 block of Wells Fargo Lane in Lake Elsinore, where they found Brian Rivas, 38, with a fatal gunshot wound. Rivas was pronounced dead at the scene. As of now, no suspect has been identified in connection with this shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.
