League of Legends ARAM Updates and Season 2 Act 2

League of Legends is introducing significant changes to its ARAM (All Random All Mid) game mode with the arrival of Season 2 Act 2. The most notable update is the addition of a three-map rotation, which includes the classic Howling Abyss, the returning Butcher's Bridge, and the brand-new Koeshin's Crossing.

Butcher's Bridge, a fan-favorite map set in Bilgewater, makes a comeback with updated mechanics. Instead of Hextech Gates, players can use cannons to launch themselves across the map. The map also features Power Flowers, which provide temporary shields and cooldown reductions.

Koeshin's Crossing, inspired by the Spirit Blossom event, introduces Bloom Portals that allow for quick teleportation across the map. This map offers a visually stunning alternative to the Howling Abyss, with a Spirit Realm that replaces the traditional gray screen upon death.

The Champion Select system has also been revamped with the introduction of Champion Cards. Instead of rerolls, players can now choose from two or three champions, with unselected champions being placed on a communal bench for teammates to pick. This change aims to reduce toxicity and increase team synergy.

Additionally, Riot Games is releasing a new Viktor skin that harkens back to his pre-rework model, addressing player feedback about the character's visual update. A new ADC champion named Yunara is also on the horizon, tied to Ionia and the Wyldbloom. A 2.5D side-scrolling beat 'em up metagame featuring Yunara and Xin Zhao will allow players to experience more of the season’s story.

These changes collectively aim to inject fresh content and improve the overall ARAM experience, catering to both new and veteran players.

The new ARAM with three-map rotation and improved Champion Select releases on June 25, 2025, on patch 25.13.
