Frisco Sledding Accident Tragedy: Two Teens Die

The incident unfolded on a Sunday afternoon when two 16-year-old girls were sledding behind a Jeep Wrangler. According to police reports and witness accounts, the sled struck a curb and subsequently collided with a tree. The impact resulted in life-threatening injuries for both girls. Emergency responders arrived on the scene and transported the teens to local hospitals. Elizabeth Angle, a Wakeland High School student, was the first to be identified as a victim who succumbed to her injuries. Later, the family confirmed that Gracie Brito was the second victim. The Frisco Police Department, with support from the Denton County District Attorney’s Office, is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. The investigation aims to determine if any charges will be filed in connection with the incident. Doorbell video obtained by NBC 5 appears to show the teens being pulled in a sled behind the Jeep. The video shows the Jeep turning a corner and driving down a street. It's unclear what happens when it leaves the camera's view, but at 2:26 p.m., about a minute after the video was recorded, Frisco police say the accident happened.

The victims were Elizabeth Angle and Gracie Brito, both 16-year-old girls.
