Disneyland's presence at the fair, with its 70th-anniversary hot air balloon, underscores the park's iconic status in California's history and culture. The original Disney California Adventure park letters are on display at Cal Expo, creating a photo opportunity for fair attendees.

Nevada County's cannabis farmers have achieved significant recognition at the State Fair's cannabis competition. Farms like Greenshock Farms, Sanctuary Farms, and Emerald Bay Extracts have won multiple awards for their sungrown cannabis and innovative cannabis products. This highlights the unique qualities of Nevada County's climate, soil, and legacy farmers, who have been cultivating high-quality cannabis for decades.
