NFL Teams Unveiling Alternate Helmets in 2025

Since the NFL lifted the one-shell rule in 2022, many teams have jumped at the opportunity to showcase alternate helmets. In 2025, the Steelers and Chargers will join the mix, along with the Browns, Commanders, and Saints. For the Chargers, the anticipated helmet is a navy blue design harking back to their 1988-2006 era. This approach allows teams to tap into nostalgia while also providing a fresh look. The Steelers are rumored to be bringing back a gold helmet, which was their original color scheme. The remaining teams that have not introduced a second helmet have various reasons for not doing so, including using throwback logos on existing helmets. The unveiling of these helmets is expected in July, adding anticipation during the NFL offseason.
