Seahawks Reunite with Veteran Safety Quandre Diggs Amid Injury Concerns

The Seattle Seahawks are bringing back Quandre Diggs to address immediate safety depth issues. Starting safety Julian Love is dealing with a hamstring injury, and his replacement, Ty Okada, sustained an oblique injury during their recent game against the Tennessee Titans. With limited healthy safeties on the roster, the Seahawks needed to act quickly. Diggs, who was a key player for the Seahawks from 2019 to 2023, provides valuable experience and familiarity with the team’s defensive system. After being released in a salary-cap related move in March 2024, Diggs signed with the Tennessee Titans but was released earlier this month. His return to Seattle offers him a chance to potentially retire with the team where he had the most successful stretch of his career. This move also allows the Seahawks to evaluate Diggs’ current form and potentially elevate him to the active roster if needed. The Seahawks are currently preparing for their upcoming game against the Minnesota Vikings, and Diggs’ presence will provide much-needed support and leadership to the safety group.

Due to injuries to safeties Julian Love and Ty Okada, the Seahawks need additional depth at the safety position.

Diggs played for the Seahawks from 2019-2023, earning three Pro Bowl selections.

He played for the Tennessee Titans before being released in November 2025.
