Meijer initiated a recall of Frederik’s Dark Chocolate Almonds after discovering that some packages might contain dark chocolate-covered cashews not listed on the product label. This recall affects products sold in black stand-up pouches and multi-pack boxes across several states, including Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois.

The affected packages include 12-ounce pouches with sell-by dates of May 7, 2026, and May 28, 2026, as well as 8-count and 1.5-ounce multi-pack boxes with a sell-by date of May 5, 2026. The UPC codes to look for are 7-08820-68730-1 or 7-19283-11923-0.

Consumers with cashew allergies or sensitivities are urged to discontinue consumption of the product and return it to any Meijer store customer service desk for a full refund. Customers with questions or concerns can contact Meijer at 800-543-3704. No illnesses have been reported to date, but caution is advised to prevent potential allergic reactions.
