Yanuki (“we,” “us”) publishes short, sourced trend digests so you can search less and discover more. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect on yanuki.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is site copy for visitors, not formal legal advice.

Who we are

Yanuki turns Google Trends signals into digests about every thirty minutes, then writes what public sources actually say and why it matters now. Digests summarize public sources. They are not advice, forecasts, or a complete record of every trend.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to yanuki.com and related pages we control (including About, digests, day/recap pages, and newsletter forms if we offer them). It does not cover third-party sites we link to. Their privacy practices are their own.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Email address, if you sign up for alerts, a newsletter, or another form we publish.
Messages you send us, if you contact us by email or through a form on the site.
We do not ask you to create a paid account for ordinary reading of digests.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our servers and tools may record:

Technical details such as browser type, device type, approximate region, pages viewed, and referring URL.
Cookies or similar storage needed for basic site function (for example, remembering a light/dark preference if we offer one).

Analytics

We use privacy-focused analytics (Umami) to understand which pages are read and how the site is used. Analytics helps us improve Yanuki. We configure it to avoid selling personal profiles to advertisers. Analytics may still process IP-related or device signals as part of ordinary web traffic measurement.

Digests and AI assist

Our digests are built from public Google Trends signals and public reporting and documents we cite. We may use AI tools to help draft and edit digest text. That process works on public trend topics and public sources. It is not a request for your private documents unless you choose to send us something.

We do not use the private contents of your email signup solely to train a public AI model for unrelated products. If that practice ever changes, we will update this policy first.

How we use information

Publish and refresh digests and related pages.
Send email you asked for (for example, a newsletter), and stop when you unsubscribe.

How long we keep information

Site and analytics logs: kept only as long as useful for security, debugging, and aggregate measurement, then deleted or anonymized in the ordinary course of operations.
Email list data: kept while you remain subscribed, then removed or suppressed after you unsubscribe (except minimal records needed to honor the unsubscribe).
Correspondence: kept as long as needed to respond and keep a reasonable business record.

Your choices and rights
