Terms of Service

Last updated: September 15, 2026

Welcome to Yanuki. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of yanuki.com and related pages we operate. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

This page is site copy for visitors. It is not a substitute for advice from a lawyer licensed in your jurisdiction.

What Yanuki is

Yanuki publishes short, sourced trend digests. About every thirty minutes we pull fresh Google Trends signals, then write what public sources actually say and why it matters now. Our slogan is simple: Search less. Discover more.

Digests summarize public sources. They are not advice, forecasts, investment recommendations, medical guidance, or a complete record of every trend.

Who may use the site

You may use Yanuki if you can form a binding agreement where you live and if your use complies with these Terms and applicable law. You may not use the site to break the law, harass people, or attack our systems.

Your license to use Yanuki

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and read the site for your personal or internal business information use, subject to these Terms.

You may not, without our prior written permission:

  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download the site in a way that harms performance or bypasses ordinary access controls.
  • Republish our digests as your own product or paywalled feed.
  • Remove attribution, source links, or notices from our pages.
  • Misrepresent that we endorse you or your product.

Short quotations with a clear link back to yanuki.com for commentary or review are usually fine. Wholesale copying is not.

Accounts and email

If we offer email updates or optional accounts, you must provide accurate information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your email or account. We may suspend access that looks abusive or fraudulent.

Intellectual property

The Yanuki name, site design, original digest text we write, and other original content on the site are owned by us or our licensors. Public sources we quote or link remain owned by their publishers. Trademarks mentioned in digests belong to their owners.

AI-assisted drafting may help us write digests. The published pages on yanuki.com are still our editorial product for purposes of these Terms, except for third-party material we clearly attribute or link.

User content

If you send comments, feedback, or other material to us, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use that material to operate and improve Yanuki. Do not send content you do not have the right to share. Do not send unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content.

Disclaimers

THE SITE AND DIGESTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • Digests are complete, error-free, or up to the minute after publication.
  • The site will be uninterrupted or free of harmful code.
  • Linked third-party sites are accurate or safe.

Trends move quickly. A digest reflects a moment in public conversation, not a guarantee about what happens next.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, YANUKI AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON DIGESTS.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100), EXCEPT WHERE THE LAW FORBIDS THAT LIMIT.

Some places do not allow certain limits. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum the law allows.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless Yanuki and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or content you submit to us—except to the extent we caused the problem through our own willful misconduct.

Digests and pages may link to news outlets, agencies, and tools we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your dealings with them are between you and them.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. By using the site, you also acknowledge that policy.

Changes to the site and to these Terms

We may change digests, features, or these Terms at any time. We will post updates on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms for future use. If you do not accept a change, stop using the site.

Termination

We may suspend or stop offering the site, or block access that violates these Terms, at any time. Provisions that should survive (including IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) will survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where a mandatory consumer protection law in your home country says otherwise. Courts in New York County, New York, will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where the law gives you a right to sue elsewhere.

Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any locked disclaimer text on the site, are the entire agreement between you and us about the site. If a court finds one part unenforceable, the rest still applies.
